However, as a private pilot, you can choose to apply for a \u2018Class 1 examination\u2019. For people under 30, the certificate is valid for 60 months; for those aged 30 to 49, 24 months; for those aged 50 to 64, 12 months; and for those 65 and older, 6 months. You can have a certificate renewed by an accredited doctor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For prospective professional pilots who possess a Class 1 medical examination, the validity for re-examination is higher.
